Sumit Khurana – President, L.E.U Foundation (Learn Empower Uplift)
Engineering graduate from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (N.S.I.T), and presently employed with the “Decision Analytics” arm of EXL Service.
Founder member of L.E.U foundation, Sumit has extensive experience in the non-profit sector in India. He has previous worked for close to three years as Vice-President of ‘Sparsh-EkPrayatna’ where he co-founded the organization. At Sparsh-EkPrayatna, Sumit was responsible for leading the education initiatives in the Delhi and Gurgaon regions. He has also remained actively involved in child-education domain with a non-profit named Sampoorna.
Shweta Poddar - Secretary, L.E.U Foundation (Learn Empower Uplift)
Bcom (H.) Graduate from SRCC, currently employed with Inductis, the “Decision Analytics” arm of EXL Service; also associated with its CSR wing:
Shweta is one of the founder members of the organization. She has been involved in the development of Gurgaon education for the last two years now – Prayas, Garv and Bal Shiksha Kendra are the three education centers, which she has been a part of, since their inception. She was also the ex-Treasurer of Spasrsh - ek Prayatna. Mayank Agrawal – Treasurer, L.E.U Foundation (Learn Empower Uplift)

Currently working as an Analyst in Dunnhumby.
Mayank is one of the founder members of the organization. He was involved in the development of our Education Centre - Bal Shikha Kendra and the Computer Centre. He has prior worked with Sparsh-Ek Prayatna and is the founder member of The Neighbourhood Project, the community service wing of NSIT. Devesh Trivedi – L.E.U Foundation (Learn Empower Uplift)
Engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi
Currently working as a Senior Analyst at Inductis.
Devesh is one of the founder members of the organization and has served as its Vice President before leaving India to meet his work related commitments . He was primarily responsible for establishing our Computer Literacy center. Apart from making arrangements for the computer center, he has played an instrumental role in attracting new trainees to our center by organized numerous publicity events . Devesh has prior worked with AID-Aashayein during his college in the domain of child education before being associated with LEU Foundation.
Foundation. Priyanka Garg
Priyanka is an Electronics and Communication engineer from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) and is currently pursuing MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi. She has prior worked with two other NGOs (Sampoorna and Sparsh-EkPrayatna) along with her college in the domain of child education before being associated with LEU Foundation.
Sandeep is a BTech in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing an MBA from the Faculty Of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi. He is one of the founder members of our organization and is actively involved in the operations of our computer center.
Rakinder is an Electronics and Communication Engineer from NSIT. He is one of the Founder Members of the organization and has previously worked with the NGO Sparsh-EkPrayatna.He believes that for long we have cribbed about the problems of the Indian Society and the apathy shown by successive governments. The youth of today should take the responsibility of uplifting the society and everyone should contribute in their own small way to make this world a better place to live. Environmental Awareness Program
The HSBC Corporate Sustainability Team organized an Environmental Awareness Program on 28th May 2010 with 160 students, studying at the Bal Shiksha Kendra (BSK), a day school setup in a well populated slum in Sector 54, Gurgaon by the L.E.U. Foundation (Learn Empower Uplift). The Corporate sustainability team got an overwhelming response from the employees at GFC Gurgaon, with more than 30 people volunteering for the cause.
Annual Day 2010
ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS AT BAL SHIKSHA KENDRAWhat started as a small endeavour towards community building brought about an enormous change in this span of one year which has been pretty much rewarding and fulfilling. Yes, we at Bal Shiksha Kendra, LEU celebrated the completion of one year of its foundation on April 1, 2010.
Far, far in the unchartered areas of Gurgaon ,when i first stepped in BAL SHIKSHA KENDRA, my bag was full of mixed emotions .Little did i realize that my association with LEU would make me far more enriched in terms of experience and it would leave me wanting for more.
The Helping Hands Team of dunnhumby organized a “Summer Day” at Bal Shiksha Kendra, a day school setup in a well populated slum in Sector 54, Gurgaon by the L.E.U. Foundation (Learn Empower Uplift),on 19 June 2010. This was the second event this year which was organized as a part of increasing employee connections.
